honey locust bowls : collection two

All bowls in my second collection are one-of-a-kind and made from honey locust. The tree trunks were rescued from the woodchipper after they were removed from a construction project off Central Park West. We brought the logs to our rooftop in Brooklyn and processed them into rough blanks with a chainsaw. This ‘green’ wood was turned once into basic bowl shapes, cured for at least twelve months until the wood dried and stabilized, and then turned again into their final finished shapes.

Each bowl is treated with a combo beeswax + linseed oil to be food safe and ready for your use.
